Haikyuu!! In Color ♡
  1. All submissions must contain our Haikyuu!! In Color watermark; colorist signatures are also required.

  2. Removal of text is encouraged but not required. However, we cannot accept submissions with altered text. Text must be deleted or remain as the Viz official translations.

  3. Colorists cannot change what is assigned to them or pass it onto someone else- if there is a problem with your assignment, reach out to the admins via social media or email.

  4. Colorists are encouraged to use the palettes provided on this carrd- direct link to color palettes. Any extreme changes to the color palettes (such as Hinata with blue hair) will not be accepted.

  5. All pages must be submitted through the SUBMISSION FORM in a .jpeg, .jpg, or .png file- if you have a problem accessing the form, please email or contact our admins ASAP!

  6. Colorists are asked to refrain from posting their pages to their own personal accounts until after we have posted them to our social media- this is to showcase all of our colorists’ amazing works as a collective, so please be patient with us! You’re encouraged to post WIPs or sneak peaks- tag our @HaikyuuInColor Twitter account and we’ll retweet it!

Haikyuu!! In Color ♡
  1. If you have submitted a page to our project and have art/commission info you want us to share, tag us in the tweet and we’ll retweet it! Feel free to dm our Twitter account with any questions- we will retweet any work by our colorists that is SFW/non-explicit and Haikyuu-oriented.

  2. If you’re having trouble finishing your page or want some colorist-advice, check out our discord server! We’ve created a community for our colorists to meet and chat about anything from coloring to the new Haikyuu episodes, so come check our server out!

1. Colorist Application Form

  • If you use Discord as your main SNS, you are required to friend vanic#1298 and join our discord server.

  • New colorists who sign up via this form will be given priority when handling assignments. But don’t worry! If you indicate that you would like to be a Returning Colorist, then we will make note of that in our system and assign you to batches accordingly.

2. First Assignment

  • After filling out our Colorist Application form, we will assign you a page. All assignments are sent via email. Please read the entire email! We require all colorists to confirm that they have received the page- just reply to the assignment email with a simple message such as “confirmed!” or “got the page!” so that we can be sure that everything went through properly. If you do not confirm with us that you have received the Assignment Email within two (2) days, we will reassign the page to someone else. In most cases, we will do our best to reach out via the social media account you indicated on the Colorist Application form- if we do not hear back from you from email nor social media, we will no longer send you assignments and delete your data from our system. Should this happen and you decide to rejoin the project at a later date, email us at [email protected] or message us on any of our social media accounts.

Notes from Assignment Email

  • You have ten (10) days to color your page

  • The chapter number and page number of your page are the file name of the image attached

  • WATERMARKS: The Assignment Email will also have three (3) image logos for you to choose from- you’re welcome to alter the logo’s colors or size to fit your page however you like, but we will not accept submissions without our watermark. We require our watermark on each page in the hopes of discouraging reposters from stealing your hard work!

  • WATERMARKS: We also require each colorist to sign their work- just initials are fine, but don’t hesitate to put your social media handle or email. Our goal is to support the colorist as much as possible, so don’t be afraid to sign your work!

  • REMOVING TEXT: Recently, we have started asking colorists to remove part of, or even the entire, text within the manga page. We realized that although we only color highlights of each chapter, some people would still use this project as a means of reading the manga for free. So in order to combat that, we ask that colorists remove parts of the text from their assigned page (please note that if your assignment does not contain any dialogue, this does not apply to you)

3. Submission Process

  • In your Assignment Email, you will find a link to the Submission Form- all assignments must be submitted through this form!

4. Posting

  • Please refrain from posting your page to your SNS before we have had a chance to post it to our Twitter account.

  • We want these pages published as a collective to highlight the colorists and the project as a whole, so please bear with us while we get them all posted! We do our best to get them out as soon as possible, so please be patient.

5. Signing Up for a Batch

  • Recently, we were made aware of colorists having issues with time constraints- school and work and life in general is very time consuming! So, we have now created a new system for colorists to sign up for batches in advance to help with these issues.

For Returning Colorists:

  • Several times a month, we will be sending Sign Up Forms to everyone on our mailing list--this form will show you the upcoming deadlines and dates for the next couple of batches so that you can sign up for whichever batch works best for your schedule.

  • You are not required to sign up for each batch! If none of the dates we included in the Sign Up Form work for you, no worries! Just wait for the next Sign Up Form for the following month.

  • Don’t sign up for pages during times you know you’ll be busy (i.e. don’t sign up for a deadline that falls on your final exams!)

6. Welcome to the HQIC Community!

  • You’ve officially become part of our colorist community! Thank you so much for participating in our project!

  • Check out our Discord server and get to know the admins and other colorists! This is a great place to get coloring advice or just hang out with other Haikyuu fans.

  • Keep an eye on your email- we sometimes send Updates from the Admins about various changes to the project. As the project grows and we encounter new problems and ways to fix those problems, our process changes as well and we do our best to make sure our community knows about any and all changes we make.

The finished submissions will be showcased in the Haikyuu!! in Color Project's Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr accounts. We are grateful for your participation in the project and are looking forward to seeing your final piece. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to send an email to [email protected] or DM the Haikyuu!! in Color Project's Twitter account.Note that we have two different emails:

Please understand that we use two emails to avoid traffic and we won't be replying to inquiries sent to [email protected].
